FAQ

Before you
set sail.

Quick answers about ferries, Local Way, stays, experiences and our booking partners.

Does Ferry Croatia sell ferry tickets directly?

Ferry Croatia helps you find a verified route and then sends you to our booking partner, where current schedules, passenger details and payment are handled securely.

Why do I choose the travel date on Ferryhopper?

Our current route selector passes the connection you selected. Live dates, passenger types, vehicles and availability are then entered on Ferryhopper, where operators' current schedules are shown.

Are the schedules and prices current?

Current availability and prices are displayed by the booking partner after you open a route. Ferry Croatia does not publish manually maintained ticket prices on its route cards.

Does Ferry Croatia include Montenegro?

Yes. Ferry Croatia focuses on Croatia and selected Adriatic connections with Montenegro. Some international routes, including Dubrovnik–Kotor and Dubrovnik–Budva, operate only during part of the year.

What is Local Way?

Local Way is what happens after you arrive. It now covers destinations reached by sea and by air, with practical ideas for 3 hours, one day or an overnight stay, self-guided walks, accommodation, selected experiences and Worth the Detour local finds.

Does Ferry Croatia sell tickets, accommodation or tours directly?

No. Ferry Croatia helps you choose, then sends you to the relevant booking partner. Ferry tickets are completed with Ferryhopper, accommodation opens with the selected stay partner, and activities open with Viator or GetYourGuide. Availability, traveller details and payment are handled by the booking partner.

What is Worth the Detour?

Worth the Detour is a self-guided Local Way find: a small place, object or story that is easy to miss. Go to the location, tap “I found it” when you find it, unlock the short story, and use the Instagram Story tool if you want to share your photo and the ready-made story text.

Do the Local Way Google Maps links open a real walking route?

When a Local Way section says “Do it yourself”, its Google Maps button opens the suggested walking route with the listed stops in order, rather than only opening the city. Individual Worth the Detour finds use a location pin because the point is to find one specific place.
