THE STORY IN PLAIN SIGHT

Find the street where Kotor runs out of space.

Grand squares tell you who had money. A lane this narrow tells you how everyone else negotiated daily life.

Why does this matter?

Kotor’s old lanes grew organically inside fortified walls, leaving some passages extraordinarily tight. This one became known locally as Pušti me proć — “Let me pass” — because two people meeting in the passage have very little room to negotiate who goes first.

There is no ticket and almost no space. That is the entire point.

What should you look for?

The challenge is the width. Photograph the alley so both walls tell the story. Do not rush the photograph. First place the detail back inside the street, harbour or landscape that made it possible.

How to find it

  1. Inside Kotor Old Town, look for the exceptionally narrow stone passage traditionally known as Pušti me proć — “Let me pass.”
  2. Use the map as a final check, then look for the physical detail described above.
  3. Allow enough time to notice the surroundings instead of treating this as a pin to collect.

Is it worth the detour?

Yes—if you prefer a place with a story to another interchangeable viewpoint. This is not the biggest sight in Kotor. It is the one that makes the destination less generic.
